Snow Patrol drugs charge dropped
Tom Simpson
Tom Simpson had been expected to appear in court this week
A drugs charge against Snow Patrol star Tom Simpson has been dropped by prosecutors in Glasgow.

The keyboard player was alleged to have been in possession of cocaine when stopped by police in Sauchiehall Street on 24 June last year.

The 35-year-old had been due to appear this week at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A spokeswoman for the Crown Office said proceedings were not appropriate after further information was received from Strathclyde Police.
