The scheme could be rolled out across the rest of the UK

A charity has teamed up with local schools in East Refrewshire to trial a scheme to recycle school uniforms.
Oxfam has launched the initiative, which aims to cut down on waste, at its branch in the Clarkston area.
If it proves successful, the scheme could be rolled out across the whole of the UK.
Eight primary schools and three high schools are taking part in the project, which will offer school skirts, ties, trousers and shirts for under £2.
School blazers will sell for between £10 and £15.

Schools from all over the neighbourhood have been a great help

Oxfam said it wanted to exploit the fact that many children grew out of uniforms before they were worn out, while raising money for its work.
The charity campaigns for free education for children across the world.
Pupils from schools in the Clarkston area have helped by sorting through the piles of donated uniform items and designing posters.
Liz Sim, Clarkston shop manager, said: "The donations we have received so far have been terrific, as has the response from people in the area.
"Schools from all over the neighbourhood have been a great help; they have donated clothes from lost property and helped to make parents aware of what we are doing."
