Police have launched a manhunt after a woman was raped on a Glasgow filling station forecourt at the weekend.
The 30-year-old woman had left a club in Sauchiehall Street and was sitting on a wall at the BP station in Elmbank Street in the city centre.
A man grabbed her from behind and dragged her to the corner of the forecourt where she was raped.
Strathclyde Police said that the man may have been slightly hurt during the attack at about 0330 BST on Sunday.
The attacker was described as being white, in his late 20s to early 30s and 6ft tall.
He had dark hair and may have been wearing a dark sweater or top and dark denims. He spoke with a Glasgow accent.
Det Sgt Steven Watson said: "This was a harrowing ordeal for the woman.
"The incident occurred in an area which would ordinarily still be busy with late night revellers.
"I would like to speak to anyone who was in this area at the time, who may have seen the man and the woman in the garage forecourt.
"It may be the case that someone may have witnessed the incident but at the time did not realise the full significance of what was going on.
"I would also appeal to a man who assisted the woman following the incident to come forward. He was wearing a dark suit and a tie with cartoon figures on it."
