Police find missing sex offender
William Graham
Police say Graham will be returned to hospital
A high-risk sex offender is back in custody after he escaped from a hospital in Lanarkshire.

William Graham was found at about 1900 BST on Saturday in a house in Whitburn in a joint operation by Strathclyde and Lothian and Borders police forces.

The 33-year-old absconded from Hartwoodhill Hospital in Shotts, Lanarkshire, on Friday afternoon.

Officers had warned the public not to approach Graham, who is detained under a Compulsory Treatment Order.

A police spokesman said the investigation into his disappearance was ongoing.

Hartwoodhill offers long-term care for patients with mental illness.
