The sites of the city will be captured in the competition

A day in the life of the city of Glasgow is to be captured by a new photography event pioneered in Scandinavia.
Participants are asked to take 12 images of 12 topics over 12 hours.
The results of the competition will be compared with a similar event which will take place in and around Cardiff on the same day.
The city life "photomarathon" concept was brought to the UK by freelance photographer Betina Skovbro.
The event, which has been running in Cardiff for four years, has also been staged in the US, Singapore and South Africa.
Mathew Talfan, director and co-founder of Photomarathon UK, said Glasgow was an ideal location for the event.
He said: "Following the success of the last four years and the geographical area that people are willing to travel to take part in photomarathon we knew that we wanted to expand the event.
"So as a city of culture Glasgow was the perfect place."
'New light'
Betina Skovbro, who took part in a similar event in her native Copenhagen, said the marathon was open to all.
She said: "It really is one of the only truly accessible arts events.
"All you need to do is be able to hold a camera, you don't need to be a fantastic photographer - it is more about creative expression than photography.
"It is also a chance to see your city in a new light, rather than just going from A to B and taking no notice of what is around you.
"During photomarathon you are looking for inspiration and at sights you may never have even noticed before."
Following the competition there will be a chance to see the work of in a free exhibition at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow.
