A film about a CCTV operator in Glasgow has earned its director a Bafta.

Andrea Arnold won The Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a British Director, Writer or Producer in their First Feature Film for Red Road.

She said: "It's been a good year for British film, so I'm very proud to be part of it. My boiler has just packed up so it's very welcome."

The film, which was up against four other movies, also won the Cannes Jury Prize last year.
