Asylum dawn raids prompts protest
Protesters opposed to dawn raids on asylum seekers gathered at a Home Office immigration centre in Glasgow.

Positive Action in Housing said the demonstration at Brand Street, Govan, followed the detention of two families.

The organisation said a Kurdish family was detained in an early morning raid in Glasgow, 24 hours after an Algerian family was detained in the city.

Strathclyde Police said that about a dozen people had gathered from about 0930 GMT and had since dispersed.
