Eight Celtic supporters have been banned from Sunday's Old Firm match amid claims of sectarian taunts.

The club suspended the fans from matches as it investigates reports of "offensive and sectarian language" at last weekend's match in Dunfermline.

Seventeen fans are under investigation following a Hibernian game. All 25 face a permanent ban if found guilty.

Meanwhile, the club highlighted the importance of good behaviour among supporters at Ibrox Park on Sunday.

A spokesman urged supporters not to pass on or sell match tickets to those they do not know.

He added: "We would urge our fans to go along to Ibrox on Sunday, enjoy the occasion and give the team the backing which has proved such an important factor in our success."
