A number of projects aims to create jobs for local people in Mull
Residents on Mull are celebrating after buying 1,700 acres of coniferous woodland which was put up for sale by the Forestry Commission in 2004.

North West Mull Community Woodland Company was formed to buy West Ardhu and Langamull woodlands for 340,000.

Chairman Colin Morrison said: "We really have something to celebrate this New Year as we start getting projects up and running in the woods."

The project will examine sustainable ways of using timber and creating jobs.
