Europe's islands network on Islay
About 200 delegates from islands around Europe are descending on Islay.

Representatives from Scandinavia and islands around Scotland are attending a two-day conference being held in Bowmore, Islay's main town.

The European Small Islands Network will be debating issues which are common to island communities.

Local councillor Robin Currie, said: "When you meet people from other areas you get ideas and exchange views. It is a great boost to the island."
