Beer mats, TV adverts featuring Dick Emery and posters promoting sport and beer are being opened up to the public.
The Scottish Brewing Archive, which celebrates the relationship between beer and sport, is to open its doors at the University of Glasgow.
Sponsorship deals covering sports including football, rugby, bowls and fishing will be on display.
Archivist Iain Russell said: "Beer and sport share a long history in Scotland, particularly beer and football."
The event will take place between 1600 GMT and 1830 GMT at the Scottish Brewing Archive in Thurso Street.
Mr Russell added: "Tennent's recently announced a large sponsorship deal with Scotland's national football team but many fans will have fond memories of competitions such as the Skol Cup and the Drybrough Cup.
"We will also display our collection of posters, beer mats and other adverts relating to the Scotland team's ill-fated trip to Argentina in 1978."
