A man who was arrested following a security alert at a busy ferry terminal has appeared in court charged with a breach of the peace.
Kulasegaram Jayendran, 34, from Hull, East Yorkshire, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in Ayrshire on Tuesday.
It followed his arrest on Monday at the nearby port of Ardrossan.
He was on a minibus with a group of about 11 others waiting to board a Caledonian MacBrayne ferry going to the Isle of Arran.
Their vehicle was in a queue driving on to the 1515 BST sailing at the time of the incident.
Mr Jayendran made no plea or declaration during his appearance. He was given bail, but no date was set for the next hearing.
