The Glasgow Mackintosh Festival has featured a full weekend programme of artist-themed events.
The annual festival celebrates the life of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, one of Glasgow's most famous sons.
Admission to Mackintosh House at the Hunterian Art Gallery, based on designs from the architect's home, was free.
The Hunterian's online catalogue of its unrivalled collection of Mackintosh's work was also launched as part of Saturday's celebratory event.
The catalogue provides informative entries on over 1,000 items, including drawings, designs, watercolours, furniture and decorative art objects and over 800 illustrations.
'Excellent tool'
Pamela Robertson, festival coordinator, said: "2006 is a highly appropriate year for the Glasgow Mackintosh Festival with so many key anniversaries, including the centenary of the Mackintosh House.
"The launch of the Mackintosh online catalogue as part of the Hunterian's birthday festivities is an excellent tool for people throughout the world to view Mackintosh's art.
"This resource will encourage Mackintosh enthusiasts and those newly introduced to his designs to visit the Glasgow Mackintosh Festival and experience his work first-hand in his home city."
Professor Robertson gave a lecture on the life of both Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his artist-wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh at the Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre on Saturday.
