Glasgow and Marseille hope to forge strong links
An "Entente Cordiale" has been signed between Glasgow and Marseille.

The Mayor of Marseilles Jean-Claude Gaudin and the Lord Provost of Glasgow officially signed an agreement to forge links between the two cities.

The Memorandum of Understanding will lead to "the sharing of ideas and information" between the cities.

They will work together on issues including education, urban and riverside regeneration, business exchanges and the arts.

The official ceremony saw a French and Scottish company forge closer relations.

Wireless Innovation, a Glasgow company, and Paca Mobile Centre, a telecommunications company from Marseilles, signed an agreement to work together.
