Pedicab fall man seriously hurt

A passenger who fell out of a pedicab in Edinburgh is being treated in hospital for a serious head injury.

The 26-year-old was in the rickshaw-style vehicle on Lothian Road at Festival Square when he fell and hit his head on the road.

The incident happened at about 0220 BST on Sunday.

He is being treated at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "This man is seriously injured."
