Sex assault on teenager at show

A teenage girl has been seriously sexually assaulted during a Young Farmers Ball at the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston.

The 17-year-old girl was attacked near portable toilets near a marquee where the ball was being held, between 0030 BST and 0100 BST on Saturday.

It was just feet from where people may have been queueing to use the toilets.

Police said the teenager was not injured but was extremely shocked and distressed.

He attacker was believed to have been part of a group of young men.

He was described as being white, in his mid to late twenties and about 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a dark blue rugby shirt and blue jeans. He also had gelled, messy hair and, a distinctive small nose.
