Man in court after railway attack

Police in Fife have arrested a man in connection with an attack on a young female on Monday 22 June on a disused railway line.

The attack happened on the line between Thornton and Windygates.

Officers have thanked a number of people who came forward with "significant information" after an appeal in relation to the incident.

The man who is from the Wemyss area, is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday 26 June.
