A 30-year-old man has been killed in a hit and run incident in Edinburgh.

Paul Bonnar from the Gilmerton area of the city was knocked down in Walter Scott Avenue at about 0130 BST.

Lothian and Borders Police said they believed the car was a white Mitsubishi Evolution - registration P479CRN - which was stolen from Brunswick Street.
