Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy plans to get married next year, after announcing his engagement to his girlfriend.
The 33-year-old four-time Olympic gold-medallist proposed to lawyer Sarra Kemp, 29, on Saturday.
The couple, both from Edinburgh, met through mutual friends and have been together for more than two years.
Sir Chris was awarded a knighthood in the Queen's New Year Honours list after winning three gold medals at last August's Beijing Olympic Games.
He had previously won a gold at the Athens Olympics in 2004.
Sir Chris proposed to his girlfriend while away for the Bank Holiday weekend, before celebrating with family in Edinburgh.
He said: "We're very happy and plan to get married some time next year.
"We had a glass of champagne and met up with Sarra's mum and dad and my mum and dad when we returned to Edinburgh on Monday."
