Pedestrian killed in Fife named

A teenage pedestrian who was killed on a Fife road has been named.

Sean Hutchinson, 19, of Kinghorn, was hit by a car on Sunday on the A909 Cowdenbeath to Beverkae road, south of its junction with the A92.

He was taken to Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline following the incident at 2200 GMT where he died a short time later.

The road was closed for almost five hours while a police investigation was conducted.

Insp Mark Anderson, of Fife Constabulary, has appealed for any person who may have witnessed the accident to contact the police.
