A pedestrian has died after a serious road accident involving two cars in Fife, police have said.

John Wemyss, 23, of Inverkeithing, was hit on the A90 near Dunfermline at about 0230 GMT. The accident involved a blue lorry and a Blue Volvo.

The road was closed for several hours between junction one on the M90 and the Ferry Toll slip, with diversions in place. Neither driver was injured.
