Festive cheer for pubs and clubs

Drinking beer
Drinkers will have an extra hour of drinking time over Christmas

Pubs and clubs are being allowed to extend their opening hours over the Christmas period in West Lothian.

West Lothian's licensing board has agreed pubs can remain open until 0200 BST and clubs until 0300 BST Monday to Wednesday and 0400 Thursday to Sunday.

Owners of premises just need to apply for the temporary licences which cover them from Friday, 12 December until Friday, 2 January.

A separate extended licence application needs to be submitted for each night.
