Police officers to return to work

Six Edinburgh police officers have been told to return to work after filling out witnesses statements in connection with the arrest of another colleague.

Christopher McGinn, 28, of East Lothian, appeared on petition at Haddington Sheriff Court, charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 on Monday.

Mr McGinn, from Prestonpans made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody until next months court date.

The six officers, who wrote statements are not suspected of any criminality.
