Fife man appears on murder charge

A Fife man man has appeared in private on petition at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, charged with murder.

64-year old Samuel Hooper, who is from Kirkcaldy, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

The body of 66-year old Isabella Hooper was found at her home in Overton Mains, Kirkcaldy on the evening of Tuesday, 19 August.

The case was continued for further examination.
