Plans have been unveiled for a three-week-long festival in Edinburgh, celebrating Asian music and dance.

The InvAsian event is being backed by the multi-cultural society of Scotland and will showcase artists from Japan, Korea, India, China and Britain.

It will form part of the capital's August festival season. The singer Pakistani Elvis will release a single to coincide with the festival.

Events are staged at the Royal College of Surgeons' Quincentenary Hall.
