Police investigating the death of a cyclist who was struck by a lorry are keen to speak to an elderly woman who helped him after the Edinburgh crash.

Iain Wilson, 35, from Duddingston, died in the collision at the junction of West Richmond Street and Nicolson Street on Tuesday about 0930 BST.

A white woman, in her 60s or 70s, and wearing a beige or light coloured jacket, was seen stopping to help.

Mr Wilson suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing a red and grey helmet, red and grey jacket, and blue jeans, carrying a blue rucksack, and riding a red mountain bike.

Police are urging any other witnesses to also come forward.
