Cyclist hit by dumper truck named

The cyclist who died in a road collision with a dumper truck in Edinburgh has been named.

Iain Wilson, 35, from Duddingston, died following the incident at about 0930 BST on Tuesday at the junction of West Richmond Street and Nicolson Street.

He was turning left into Nicolson Street from West Richmond Street when he collided with the truck.

He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses.
