A fire at a seven storey block of flats under construction in Edinburgh has caused a "massive" structural collapse.

Fire crews were called to a huge blaze at the flats in Albion Gardens just before 1600 BST.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said the fire, close to Hibernian's Easter Road Stadium, remained well alight.

She added that the tower crane used in the construction of the flats was also in danger of collapse.
