Transgression Park is open to everyone
A big indoor skateboarding and BMX arena opens in Edinburgh at the weekend.

The urban sports centre - to be known as Transgression Park - has been designed by Scottish professional BMX rider Dave Sowerby.

The indoor park at the Ocean Terminal shopping mall which stretches to 9,000 sq ft has the highest skatepark slopes in the UK.

It is expected the unit will attract about 90,000 users per year.

The centre, which cost a "five figure sum" to fit out, will be open seven days a week from 1000 GMT to 2200 GMT.

Sessions will cost £5.50 with each additional session costing £3.

Non-members will require to pay an additional £2 per day on top of the session cost.
