Abuse sentence mother to appeal
Caroline Dunsmore
Caroline Dunsmore could appeal against her sentence
A mother who was convicted of taking part in the rape of her own daughter may appeal against her sentence.

Caroline Dunsmore, 43, from Edinburgh, was sent to prison for 12 years earlier this year for her part in the capital's worst ever paedophile ring.

The case has been passed to judges who will decide if the appeal can go ahead.

Dunsmore was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh for overseeing 10 years of abuse of Dana Fowley, now 27, and a second victim.

During the trial, the court heard how the children were subjected to frequent sexual abuse.
