Singer KT Tunstall has given her home town of St Andrews a starring role in her latest music video.

The hour-long film about the singer's life comes with a special version of her album Drastic Fantastic.

St Andrews provides the backdrop for the video and shows the 32-year-old walking on the Fife town's beach and singing at a campfire.

The five times platinum artist, who was born in Edinburgh, was adopted and raised in St Andrews.

A spokeswoman for EMI, the singer's label, said: "The film is a glimpse into her life on the road but there are also scenes of KT in St Andrews, reminiscing about her childhood growing up in the town."

UK tour

Shot during the summer, the documentary was named after this year's inaugural Outsider Festival in Aviemore .

Ms Tunstall's Saturday night headline slot was plagued by heavy rain and difficult performance conditions. Backstage footage from the festival also features.

She rose to fame in 2004 after a "stunning" performance on the BBC's Later With Jools Holland.

The singer's latest album has already sold 60,000 copies and she is set for a UK tour, which begins on 15 October.
