Some passengers were delayed arriving into Edinburgh Airport

Damage to Edinburgh Airport's main runway has caused flight disruption, BBC Scotland news website has learned.
Hundreds of passengers were delayed arriving into the busy gateway after debris was discovered at 0920 BST on Thursday.
Several planes were forced to circle above the airport while the site was inspected before being allowed to land.
Results of an investigation into the cause of the damage will be released following further inspections.
An Edinburgh Airport spokeswoman said there were a number of aircraft kept in a holding pattern above the airport when the damage was discovered, which caused delays to passengers.
"Earlier today (Thursday) a small area on our main runway was found to be damaged.
"However, following an inspection, departing and arriving flights were allowed to continue to use the runway as normal.
"The impact on the airport's operation has been minimal."
