A Holocaust survivor has arrived at the Edinburgh International Film Festival ahead of the UK premiere of a film charting his life during World War II.

Adolf Burger, 91, was part of a group of printers made to forge fake US dollars and British pounds in a bid to flood and ruin their economies.

The Counterfeiters tells of the huge bank note operation run by the Nazis at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.

The film uses experiences he recorded in his book, The Devil's Workshop.

Mr Burger is played by August Diehl in the film, which is directed by Stefan Ruzowitsky and will be screened at the Cameo.

The pensioner, from Slovakia, brought one of the forged notes with him when he travelled to Edinburgh on Wednesday.
