Keith's technicolour dream fades
Keith Jack
Keith was second behind final winner Lee Mead
A teenage supermarket worker's dream of a starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest production of Joseph in London's west end has died.

Keith Jack, 19, from Dalkeith, Midlothian, made it through to the final of Any Dream Will Do on BBC 1.

The winner - Lee Mead - was voted for by the public and, will play the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

More than three million votes were cast on the final night.

Keith had been described as a "theatrical ball of fire" by Any Dream Will Do judge Denise Van Outen

He was cheered on by parents George and Irene and sister Lesley.

Irene Jack said she could not find the words to describe how proud the family were of Keith's achievement.

Thousands of would-be Joseph's attended auditions all over Britain to take part in the programme.

Only twelve were selected for the series and Keith was the eventual runner-up.
