Man charged over city road death

Olivia Donachie died in Edinburgh on Wednesday

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a four-year-old girl in a road crash on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Olivia Donachie was killed and her mother Rachel was seriously injured near their home in the Colinton area of the city on Wednesday.

Mrs Donachie, who has three other children, is said to be in a stable condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

The 31-year-old is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff court on Monday.
