Wheelie bins plea to householders
Householders in Fife have been warned against leaving their wheelie bins out overnight following a spate of thefts of the rubbish containers.

Police in central Fife have been investigating more than 60 wheelie bin thefts in recent weeks.

Many of the bins, which cost between 15 and 20 each, are being taken before being set on fire, police said.

The cost to Fife Council to replace the stolen bins will be between 900 and 1,200.
