Mike Barile had been reinstated after a previous incident

A Fife teacher who was suspended after an alleged assault by a pupil has been cleared of allegations made against him and reinstated to his post.
Mike Barile, a maths teacher at Madras College in St Andrews, had been temporarily reinstated to his post for a month last October.
However, he was suspended again by council officials while an investigation was carried out.
The pupil involved was cautioned by police after September's incident.

The investigation is thought to have cost employers Fife Council tens of thousands of pounds.
Mr Barile also became involved in a dispute with senior staff at the school not long after an education inspector's report made hard-hitting comments about management at Madras.
Grievance procedures raised by a group of teachers against the former rector, who was in post at the time, still remain unresolved by Fife Council.
The issues at Madras led to internal hearings, investigations in the school, disciplinary procedures, and teaching cover being arranged while Barile was suspended and away from his post.
After investigations, the procurator fiscal at Cupar made it clear that were to be no criminal proceedings against Mr Barile in the matter.
On Wednesday, Mr Barile said he was unable to comment on the matter.
Fife Council also refused to comment on individual disciplinary hearings.
