Boy's face stuck in barbed wire
A six-year-old boy is recovering from lacerations to his face after becoming entangled in a roll of barbed wire in Midlothian.

The schoolboy was playing in his garden when he pushed his head into a discarded roll of barbed wire at his home in Dalkeith.

As he struggled to free himself, the barbs dug into his face.

A fire crew used a bolt cutter to free the boy following the accident at 1900 BST on Sunday.

An ambulance crew treated the boy's cuts at the scene.

A Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called to the incident and firefighters used bolt-cutting equipment to free a six-year-old child from barbed wire."
