Pedestrian hit twice by vehicle
A pedestrian suffered multiple head and leg injuries after being knocked down twice in a matter of moments.

The man was crossing the A68 Dalkeith to Lauder Road, in Pathhead, Midlothian, when he was hit by a Ford Focus travelling north.

The force of the collision, on Friday at about 2050 BST, sent him onto the southbound carriageway and into the path of a Toyota Corolla.

His condition has been described as serious but stable.
