A new visitor board was unveiled at the reserve
A wildlife haven at a redundant Fife reservoir has been recognised as a local nature reserve.

Gillingshill Reservoir, near Arncroach, was officially opened as a Fife local nature reserve by Lord Jamie Lindsay.

The area has enjoyed a makeover followed the planting of trees, plans and the clearing of pathways.

A new display board was unveiled to guide visitors around the reserve as well as illustrate species which may be seen on the site.

Lord Lindsay said: "The work undertaken at Gillingshill Reservoir Nature Reserve provides a very positive indication of what can be achieved at a redundant reservoir site in association with the local community."
