Residents were warned to keep their windows and doors closed after a huge fire broke out at a scrap metal yard in Fife sending out thick smoke.

About 35 firefighters tackled the blaze at 1300 BST on Tuesday at Thomas Muir Metals in Den Road in Kirkcaldy. The fire was extinguished at 2100 BST.
It is unclear how the fire broke out in the waste materials, which included scrap metal and tyres.
Fife Fire and Rescue said they had received dozens of calls.
A spokeswoman for Fife Fire and Rescue said firefighters assisted by a mechanical grab used three main jets to control and extinguish the fire.
"By 1800 BST about four appliances were tackling the blaze and the fire was extinguished at 2100 BST," she said.
