Blaze strikes at city crematorium
A major blaze has broken out at a crematorium in Edinburgh.

The fire, which was discovered just before 1420 BST on Tuesday, started in the crematorium unit at Mortonhall in the south of the city.

Extra firefighters were called in to help tackle the flames and by 1600 BST some 25 firefighters had contained the fire to the roof of the building.

Edinburgh City Council said an investigation had been launched into the cause. Nobody was injured.
