Supt O'Kane answered questions from all over the force area

A road policing web chat hosted by Superintendent Phil O'Kane of Lothian and Borders Police Road drew almost 55 questions from the public.
Questions were submitted on topics including mobile phone misuse, mini motorcycles, foreign drivers and the Edinburgh Traffic Management Scheme.
The questions came from all over of the force area.
A large proportion of the questions were answered within the one-hour session.
Those remaining were being answered electronically immediately after the session closed.
Supt O'Kane, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "I am delighted that so many people took the opportunity to put their questions to me.
"It is important that we are open and accountable and to be so we must be available to the public in ways that suit them.
"We will be looking at using this interactive method of communicating with the public again.
"It may be that ultimately we can spread this so as to address specific aspects of road policing across our communities.
"I would like to thank everyone who participated and assure those who have not had their answers that they will receive them soon."
