The operators of the nursery which was at the centre of an E.coli O157 outbreak say it is expected to reopen next Monday.
NHS Fife said staff training and the cleaning of the Careshare nursery, based at Lauder College, Dunfermline, had been completed.
Dr Mike Roworth said the number of cases linked to the nursery had risen to 14.
The extra case was an adult with a known link to one of the children.
Dr Roworth, consultant in public health medicine at NHS Fife, said the last case was not an unexpected finding.
He added that one set of test results was still awaited.
