Police believe two men were responsible for an attack on a pensioner who was pushed to the ground and had her handbag stolen in Edinburgh.
The 79-year-old was attacked as she walked through Lauriston Place into Lauriston Gardens on Tuesday.
She did not see who pushed her but witnesses nearby saw two men running along Lauriston Gardens into the Meadows at 1425 BST.
They were white, 25 to 30 years old, 5ft 8in to 6ft tall and slim.
One of the attackers had gingery shoulder-length hair, a very drawn face and was wearing a navy baseball cap, navy zipped jacket and blue jeans.
'Deeply upset'
The other was very thin, with black shoulder length greasy hair and heavy facial growth. He was wearing a brown corduroy jacket and blue jeans.
The victim suffered minor injuries to her hand and arm but was left very shaken by the attack. There was nothing of value in the handbag.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokeswoman said: "The victim did not lose anything of value but she has been deeply upset by the attack.
"The Meadows area is generally quite busy in the afternoon and we would appeal to anyone who saw two men fitting these descriptions, or saw the incident happen, to come forward."
