Question the SNP candidates
John Swinney (left), Brian Taylor and Alex Neil (right)
Brian Taylor puts your questions to the candidates
BBC News Online Scotland is giving you a chance to put your questions directly to the two candidates vying for the leadership of the Scottish National Party.

In a special webcast, to be recorded on Friday 15 September, your e-mails will be put to Alex Neil and John Swinney by BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor.

The recording of your questions and their answers will be published in full the following day, along with the Real Audio recording of the discussion.

HAVE YOUR SAY

You might want to ask why the two men want to lead the SNP, their aspirations for the party and Scotland or how in practice Scottish independence would work.

The candidates have different attitudes towards the current Scottish Parliament, perhaps you may want to seek their views. What about policies on Europe and taxation?

Please submit your e-mails by 1200BST on Friday 15 September.

The outcome of the vote by members of the SNP on the leadership and deputy leadership posts will be known at the party conference in Inverness on Saturday 23 September.
