School musical to help others

The producers of a musical about a threatened Edinburgh primary have won an £8,000 Lottery grant to encourage other schools to stage their own production.

Primary School Musical was written by Angus Reid, 42, the father of two children at the threatened Stockbridge Primary in the capital.

In August 2007 the school, along with 19 others in the city, was selected for closure, but when parents and pupils launched a campaign the schools were saved.
