Climate change campaigners have been holding demonstrations across the UK to put pressure on the government ahead of next week's Copenhagen summit.

In London, police said about 20,000 people took part in a march through the capital, while about 7,000 turned out in Glasgow.

One rally took place in the city's Kelvingrove Park, where Stuart Murdoch of band Belle and Sebastian told the BBC's James Shaw that Scotland was ''a pioneer for good'' when it came to climate commitments.
