Two arrested over huge drugs haul

Drugs with a street value of £200,000 have been recovered from a house in East Kilbride.

The drugs, believed to be heroin and cocaine, were found by police during a search of an address in Slessor Drive.

A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said the operation was carried out at about 1900 GMT on Friday.

A 49-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and are in police custody.

They are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
