In Pictures: Art for sale

A portrait of Jock Stein by renowned artist Peter Howson will form the centrepiece of an art auction in Glasgow.

Saltire and Wolves by Gerard Burns

The sale on 10 November at McTear's Auctioneers in Glasgow will also feature work from other artists, including Gerard Burns' "Saltire and Wolves".

Peter Howison's "Swirling Rabbie"

Peter Howson's "Swirling Rabbie" is expected to fetch between £10,000 and £20,000.

Gerard Burns' oil on canvass, the "Nude", will also feature in the sale.

frank McFadden's Smokr and Mirrors

Artist Frank McFadden's "Smoke and Mirrors" will be part of the "Scottish contemporary art auction".

Under the auctioneer's hammer will be a painting of Amy Winehouse by Peter Howson who studied at Glasgow School of Art in the 1970s.
